How about the efforts to suppress the rights of citizens by government. Not just Republicans not just Democrats all of them

I guess it must be a feeling in the office
Now we know that any task force presented by politicians does nothing. Will Obama form another task force this year now that gas prices have gone up again?
We need more stories about how it isn't supply and demand, but more Wall Street greed.
Get @ImmortalTech to come in as a guest. The man has an incredible story: ex-con, becoming an underground (worldwide) hip-hop legend, urban activist. He has a doc coming out soon, "The (R)evolution of Immortal Technique," that will detail a trip he took to Afghanistan in order to establish an orphanage. A discussion about this trip alone could provide a very interesting segment for the show. However, his knowledge is not topically confined to just this. Take a look at the trailer and a past interview with him.

I think the story of the week is that Bejing wants to have a significant say in who the Chairman of the World Bank is. It's becoming increasingly apparent that China is an economic power and is looking for increased influence on the world stage. I think this provides a great segment to educate people on what the World Bank and IMF actually do, how they function to implement neo-liberal policies and the influence the US has within these organization, which is not commonly known by people in the US. Occupy Wall Street is just an extension of the World Bank protests in the late 90's. Its time Americans were re-educated. And with the change coming up regarding the head of this world organization, what a better place to discuss it then UP. Love the show, and can't wait for the weekends to watch it. I only wish you would Live Stream it on the internet. Saturday and Sunday Mornings my daughter gets the TV, so I have to watch it taped later...Please consider Live Streaming...
Now we know the Republican Party candidates gave up on Jesus, because of his tolerance. He would throw up after listening to them.
Now we know Rick Santorum threw up on Jesus for being tolerant inclusive, and a Democrat.
Now we know Rick Santorum threw up when he heard Jesus talk about tolerance for peeps with different views, about being a Democrat.
I would suggest a segment about the superpac monies and their weakening of the party-control of who is running and staying in,such as we are seeing now. This sort of ties in with the comment from last week about ow funded campaign laws in AZ kept certain types in the running when before they had to be reasonable enugh to reach out to voters and more mainstream supporters and orgs.\
Has a Santorum tie-in I believe with a paper he wronte about how PACs would reduce party control.
Thanks

I am horrified that the government may end of garnishing up to 100% of a persons disability benefits beginning in March, 2013 when all federal payments go electronic.
It is incredible that someone who is totally and permanently disabiled and unable to work can have their social security disability payments garnished currently for up to 65%.......
An exception to this rule should be applied to those who cannot work and depend entirely on their disability payments for survival........If, as suggested, they will be wiped out 100% in march, 2013 if the current rules become law.
We need immediate advocacy for stopping this draconian rule and get the government to allow an excemption for people on disability who cannot work . Please give us a voice and help. Thanks...........your weekend show is fantastic!!!
Thanks
Are there any good ideas about what to do about Syria? I do not believe there is nothing we can do but I haven't heard of a quick and non-violent solution. My thoughts would be an escalating propaganda war culminating in kinetic or cyber action to eliminate Assad's ability to broadcast his. And I really don't care what Putin and Khamenei think about it.
Sexual harassment as ethical imperative: how Capcom's fighting game reality show turned ugly
This story is all the more interesting in the context of all the "war on women" political stories of the week (especially Rush Limbaugh's hate speech against Sandra Fluke). It has to do with the sexual harassment of gamers in certain video game communities, specifically in the fighting game genre.
Instead of trying to clumsily summarize a story about a subculture I admittedly have little knowledge of, here is a quote from the article I've linked to:
Video game communities can have wildly different standards of conduct, but a recent Capcom-sponsored event has proven just how ugly the fighting game community can become. During a week long reality show about fighting games, contestants took part in sexual harassment and in fact argued that sexual harassment is an important part of the fighting game community that needs to continue. This happened on camera, across multiple days.
It got very, VERY ugly and a female competitor eventually chose to forfeit the competition rather than continue to endure it all.
I'm not sure why the link didn't show, but I'll try again:

And another on the topic from Kotaku:

Thanks to reporting by WNYC, now we know that fearful customers are avoiding businesses and groups that were subject to warrantless surveillance by the NYPD.
Here's the link (trying again).

Okay I will try one more time.
