The political “mommy wars” and the realities of motherhood - Sun, May 13, 2012On today's edition of Up w/ Chris Hayes, Chris and his guests spoke with Charmaine Yoest, leader of Americans United for Life, about her group's report that has precipitated a new House investigation into whether Planned Parenthood misuses federal funds to provide abortions.
As Chris reported exclusively this morning, one of the officials cited in the report told us that the report's suggestion that his testimony was directed toward Planned Parenthood was "misleading."

Over the past decade, Americans watched in bafflement and rage as one institution after another – from Wall Street to Congress, the Catholic Church to corporate America, even Major League Baseball – imploded under the weight of corruption and incompetence. In the wake of the Fail Decade, Americans have historically low levels of trust in their institutions; the social contract between ordinary citizens and elites lies in tatters.

To be anti-planned parenthood, is to be pro-unplanned parenthood. How stupid is that?
I was very disappointed with the lack of professionalism during this segment. This segment seemed like a slanted attack not only on the investigation of planned parenthood but also against Dr. Yoest's convictions, instead of an honest discussion to uncover truth.
Ok, that lady (Yoest) was simply creepy. She refused to answer any question and responded in a very stepford wife manner with the exact same phrasing over and over. (creepy grin) "Thats a very good question" (now let me not answer but spit out another talking point that has little to do with the question)....
Chris - I love your show! I have always enjoyed your guest host spots, and now I'm so glad you have a show of your own! Way to go! Hopefully, MSNBC will be added to our line-up of on-demand channels soon (Verizon FIOS) and I'll be able to watch your show on the larger screen. Also, love that Rachel's show is podcast on ITunes... any chance you'll do the same? Great to listen to while driving. Keep up the good work!
